Change in pattern of train service in Coimbatore for a week

Southern Railways today announced that all through trains running via Coimbatore Junction would skip the station between March 25 and 31 in view of gauge
conversion work.

In view of the gauge conversion-cum doubling of Coimbatore-Podanur section, all through trains, most of them from Kerala, would run via Irugur-Podanur without touching Coimbatore Junction. 

The trains will instead stop at Podanur junction, a release said.
