CBI gives second list of witnesses to be examined in 2G trial

CBI today submitted in a Delhi court a second list of witnesses, including former Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Nripendra Mishra who would be summoned and examined in 2G spectrum allocation scam case.

The agency, in the list submitted to Special CBI Judge O P Saini, has given names of 12 witnesses to be summoned from December 2 to 23 this year.

Besides Mishra, who was TRAI's Chairman when Unified Access Services Licences (UASL) were issued in January 2008 during the tenure of former Telecom Minister A Raja, top officials of DB Realty Ltd, Etisalat DB Telecom Pvt Ltd, Reliance Communication Ltd and Reliance Telecom Ltd have been named in the list.

Rajender Singhi, GM (Commercial) of Reliance Communication Ltd, is scheduled to depose on December 9, while Director of Reliance Telecom Ltd Satish Seth would testify ten days after.
