BSP candidate arrested in Bihar

A BSP candidate, who was evading arrest for long in a case of forgery and defalcation of public funds, was arrested today soon after he filed nomination papers for Motihari seat in Bihar.

A BSP candidate, who was evading arrest for long in a case of forgery and defalcation of public funds, was arrested today soon after he filed nomination papers for Motihari seat in the East Champaran district, police sources said.

Soon after Manoj Yadav, the BSP nominee, stepped out of the office of the returning officer after submitting his papers, the police arrested him.

A case relating to forgery and misappropriation of public funds was registered long back with the Mufassil police station here. Yadav was evading arrest.

Yadav was later sent to jail, sources added.
