Boy washed away in flash floods in Rajouri

A boy was washed away in flash floods in a river in Rajouri district this morning.

A woman and her 11-year-old son Sanjay Kumar were crossing a river in Sunderbandi belt of Rajouri district when flash floods washed away the child, police said.

Several locals rushed to the site after hearing the woman screaming for help, they said, adding his body was later fished out 3km away from the spot.
