Boy poisoned to death in Uttar Pradesh

A minor boy was allegedly poisoned to death by unidentified persons in Ramlila locality here, police said today.

8-year-old Nikul Sharma, son of Gayanander Sharma, was yesterday offered 'prasad' laced with poison by some unidentified persons. After eating it, the boy fell ill and was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said.

A case has been registered against unknown people in this regard, they said, adding the body of the victim has been sent for postmortem.
