Book of essays on Umashankar Joshi released

To celebrate the 100th birth year of renowned poet Umashankar Joshi, the book titled Umashankar Joshi Vichardhara has articles penned by 22 writers.

To celebrate the 100th birth year of renowned poet Umashankar Joshi, a committee comprising city-based writers and poets released a book on his life on Sunday.

The book titled Umashankar Joshi Vichardhara, has articles penned by 22 writers and famous personalities who had known Joshi's from proximity. The writers include his daughter Swati Joshi, senior advocate Girish Patel, Prakash Shah, Narayan Desai, Niranjan Bhagat, Rohit Shukla, Manishi Jani, Swarup Dhruv, Himanshi Shelat, Chandu Maharia and others.

The 22 articles cover various aspects of Joshi's life - from political to social, from his contribution and views on education systems to his thoughts and ideas as a student on education, from his family life to his social life. The book covers each and every aspect of Joshi's life and his thoughts on various situations. The book is published by Gurjar Prakashan.

The book release event organised at Bhaikaka hall in Paldi was attended by Sudershan Iyengar, vice chancellor Gujarat University; columnist and writer Prakash Shah, writer Niranjan Bhagat along with many other well-known writers and literature lovers.
