BJP will play role of responsible opposition: Sushama Swaraj

Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj said here today that the BJP would play the role of a responsible opposition in the lower house of parliament.
   
"We will not oppose merely for the sake of opposing," she told reporters at the Madhya Pradesh BJP office.
    
Swaraj said that the BJP will strongly oppose those policies which were against the national interest and support those which were helpful for the people.
    
She said that the BJP had 116 members in the current Lok Sabha and as their leader, it was her duty to ensure that the party discharged the role of the opposition in a proper way.
    
Swaraj said that in a democracy, one party wins and runs the government while the other is the loser and has to work as an opposition.
