BJP takes out march to protest against Varanasi blast in UP

Local BJP MLA Suresh Tiwari alleged that Tuesday's blast was a result of failure of the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments as well as the UPA government's policy of Muslim appeasement.

Condemning the Varanasi blast in which a child was killed and several people were injured, BJP workers took out a march in Lucknow today to protest against the growing menace of terrorism.

Members of the party walked for about 3km from Vidhan Bhawan to the Shaheed Smarak during the 'anti-terrorism march' and raised slogans against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union home minister P Chidambaram and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati.

They also burnt a symbolic effigy of 'terrorism'.
