With the government failing to get back to it so far on its concerns, the BJP has kept a dissent note ready over the Standing Committee's report on the controversial Civil Nuclear Liability Bill.

"We have not been told anything by the government so far about our suggestions, so we have kept our dissent note ready," a senior BJP leader, who declined to be identified, said.

His remarks came a day ahead of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology scheduled to submit its report on the
Civil Liability for Nuclear Damages Bill, 2010, to Parliament.

The government has not got back to the BJP since the meeting last week in which Leader of the House in Lok Sabha Pranab Mukherjee, and Union ministers Prithviraj Chavan and PK Bansal represented the government.

BJP parliamentary party chief LK Advani, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, her counterpart in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, senior party leaders Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Singh and Murli Manohar Joshi had apprised the government of their concerns on the draft of the bill.

"There has been no meeting or any contact of any kind from the government's side since our last meeting in which the bill was discussed. After that the government reportedly met Left leaders once," leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said.

Chairman of the Standing Committee, T Subirammi Reddy had
told reporters last week that he would submit the report on
Tuesday.
