BJP in Rajasthan is all set to welcome LK Advani's anti-corruption yatra amid attacks by the ruling Congress which is highlighting alleged irregularities of the previous Vasundhara Raje government.

The Jan Chetna Yatra is scheduled to enter the state this week and the first meeting is planned at Jodhpur on November 9. Advani will address meetings in Beawar and Ajmer on the same day.

Nine districts, six Lok Sabha constituencies and 27 assembly constituencies will be covered and eight major public meetings will be organised during this leg of the yatra.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj will attend the rally in Jaipur on November 10. BJP's state president Arun Chaturvedi and Leader of Opposition Rajasthan Vidha Sabha, Vasundhara Raje will be travelling with Advani in the state.

"The party is well prepared to make the yatra successful and all preparations in this regard have been completed. There is a huge enthusiasm for the meetings. We are sure that the yatra will evoke a good response in the state," BJP state general secretary Satish Poonia said.

On the other hand, ruling Congress party sought Advani's reply to ten questions related with the alleged irregularities of the previous BJP government.

"BJP's former vice-president Kailash Meghwal, ex-state minister GS Tiwari had levelled corruption charges against Vasundhara Raje. Allegations of scams were also raised against the Raje government. Advani should clear the party's stand on these issues during his yatra in the state," PCC Vice-President Rajiv Arora said.
