The Bhartiya Janata Party is not likely to implement its famous 'no repeat' theory in a full-fledge manner, as one third of the incumbent BJP corporators are likely to be repeated. This means two third are likely to be axed.

Out of four prominent office bearers only two have been repeated. The BJP has not officially declared the list of party candidates. But the candidates have apparently been told to get ready for filing nominations.

The saffron party has repeated 33 corporators out of its total 96 corporators.

The BJP has decided to repeat mayor Kanaji Thakore and standing committee chairman Asit Vora, while deputy mayor Kalpana Bhatt and leader of BJP in AMC Dr Kamlesh Patel were left out of the list of possible candidates.

Out of total 12 committee chairperson only four managed to get a place in the probable list they are Mayur Dave, Pravin Patel, Savita Shrimali and Hasmukh Patel.

On the other hand, Praful Raval, Dr Anil Patel, Manu Kathrotia, Babu Zadaphia, Surendra Jirawala, Rama Joshi, Tina Patel, Asha Tekwani failed to secure a place in the list of probables. Surprisingly, former standing chairman Madhu Patel has not been selected. One whole panel of Amraiwadi has been repeated.

The coroporators are not pleased with the party's decision. "We have served the people with honesty and this is the reason why we have been left out, while others who have tainted image have been selected," said one of corporators.
