‘BJP leader killed due to wife’s affair’

Police have finally cracked the case of murder of the BJP's secretary of Limkheda taluka in Dahod district, Ramanbhai Baria, on July 22. The extra-marital affair of his wife, Leelaben, with ex-MLA Babubhai Bhabor was the main cause of murder. Leelaben has confessed to this effect.

During investigations, it came to light that one Bharatbhai, had murdered Ramanbhai at his house. The Limkheda police have lodged a complaint against the three. Following Leelaben's confession, police have arrested Bharatbhai while Babubhai managed to abscond. She said she had extra-marital relations with Babubhai. Ramanbhai became the BJP taluka unit secretary. When Ramanbhai and his parents came to know about it, they scolded her and asked her to stop the relationship. But she didn't. On the fateful day, around midnight, Bharatbhai came to Leelaben's house and woke her up to take her to Babubhai. As Ramanbhai woke up and turned towards them, Babubhai ordered Bharat to kill him. He killed Ramanbhai with an axe., took his body and burnt his motorbike with kerosene.
