BJP today condemned the escape of three Pakistani terrorists involved in blasts near Red Fort from Delhi Police's custody and demanded an inquiry into the matter to fix responsibility and punish the guilty.

"The BJP strongly condemns the escape of Pakistani prisoners involved in the blasts at Red Fort. They were confirmed terrorists. That their movement to hospital in the country's capital was being treated in such a casual manner, is a very serious reflection on the gross indifference of security agencies," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told PTI. He said, "BJP demands a proper inquiry into this lapse to fix responsibility and punish the guilty".

The BJP leader insisted that India is under terrorist radar and this incident only emboldens the terrorists and their patrons.

The three Pakistani terrorists Abdul Razzak, Mohammed Sadiq and Rafaqat Ali, who were arrested in connection with blasts near the Red Fort nine years ago and were to be deported to Pakistan as they had completed their jail term, escaped on Friday while being escorted to a city hospital.

Delhi Police has sounded an alert in the national capital and neighbouring areas and have also announced a reward of Rs50,000 for anyone providing information about the three terrorists.
