CPI(M) and RJD Wednesday rapped BJP for disrupting Parliamentary proceedings alleging it has entered into an agreement with ruling Congress and was not interested in healthy discussions.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat said it needs to be known who benefits from disruption of Parliament at a time when there is an ongoing debate against corruption and price rise.

"The BJP is talking about corruption in the CWG against the Congress. If the House is disrupted, the Congress benefits but today it is wasted. So if the House is disrupted, BJP benefits because BJP has come to an agreement with Congress and it will be thoroughly exposed," Karat said.

She said it appeared it was a joint operation of the two parties to stop Parliamentary functioning.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said, "Whatever issues are there, they should be discussed in a healthy atmosphere, there should be grilling and whatever lacunae are there, that should be highlighted. The BJP is not interested in all this. They are interested in elections only."
