Bihar chief minister arrives in Shanghai on goodwill tour of China

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar arrived in Shanghai today on a eight-day goodwill tour of China to visit several infrastructure projects and inaugurate a Buddhist conference.

Heading an eight-member delegation, which included two ministers, he is scheduled to meet top officials of the Shanghai unit of the Chinese Communist Party and later attend a get together hosted by the Indian association in Shanghai.

The chief minister will get a chance to understand the rapid growth of China, particularly the infrastructure development as he inspects several infrastructure projects before arriving in the Chinese capital to open a Buddhist conference being jointly organised by India and China.

Later, he would go to Shandong province to visit infrastructure projects and some industrial unites.
