Bharat bandh: BJP claims trade bodies' support in Vadodra

BJP's Gujarat unit has supported the call for Bharat bandh against hike in fuel prices which will lead to hike in prices of the essential commodities.

BJP city unit has claimed the support of various traders associations for tomorrow's Bharat bandh (shutdown) in the city.

The city mayor Balkrishna Shukla and BJP's city unit president Bharat Dangar claimed the support from hotel owners association, fruit and vegetable dealers association, stationery traders association and others for observing peaceful shutdown in the city tomorrow.

They called a meeting of these associations to ensure the bandh is successful. The meeting was attended by Parliamentary secretary to chief minister Narendra Modi and BJP MLAs-Lakhawala and Jitu Sukhadia.

BJP's Gujarat unit has supported the call for Bharat bandh against hike in fuel prices which will lead to hike in prices of the essential commodities which will make the lives of common people very difficult, Dangar said.

Representatives and office-bearers of the associations said, they have agreed to observe bandh tomorrow as it is common people's cause.

The bandh is against all round inflation and not to protest fuel price hike alone, Dangar said.
