The CBI on Saturday lodged a complaint with the police, saying a person, identifying himself as Congress MLA Malkhan Singh, brother of Paras Ram Bishnoi, who was arrested in the Bhanwari Devi missing case, has threatened its officers.

"The CBI has give us a complaint today which said a person referring himself as Malkhan Singh Bishnoi called up last night at the landline number being used by the agency officials at Circuit House here. He threatened the CBI for arrest of Parasram Bishnoi and bragged about his clouts," Udaimandir police station SHO Mangilal said.

"We are tracing the phone number and are trying to identify the person, if the caller was Malkhan or somebody else," Mangilal said.

The CBI yesterday arrested Parasram Bishnoi and former Rajasthan Minister Mahipal Maderna after filing a charge sheet against three other accused, Shahabuddin, Baldev Jat and Sohan Lal, who are in judicial custody.

Bhanwari, posted as an auxiliary nurse midwife at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village, about 120km from here, went missing on September 1 after a CD allegedly showing Maderna in a compromising position with her was circulated in the political circle.

On the other hand, there is no news about the whereabouts of Indra Bishnoi, sister of Malkhan Singh Bishnoi and a key witness in the Bhanwari Devi case.

Her husband, Mohan Bishnoi along with his son had approached Basni police station yesterday and complained that Indra had left with her maternal grandmother for her village Tilwasani two weeks back but neither reached there nor came back home.

SHO Mumtaz Khan asked them to give a written complaint.

"But they did not turn up on Saturday and did not give any written complaint," he said.

Mohan could not be reached despite several attempts to contact him.

Indra has been interrogated in the case by the CBI for five times and it is she was close to Bhanwari and had intervened to resolve the matter between her brother and the nurse after the two allegedly engaged in heated arguments over some issue a few months back.
