Bangladesh high commissioner to India Tariq A Karim today met Union home minister P Chidambaram and is understood to have discussed cooperation in security matters, including terrorism.

Various bilateral issues, including insurgents belonging to United Liberation Front of Asom (Ulfa) and other groups, were believed to have come up for discussion between the two, sources said.

Emerging from the 15-minute meeting, Karim told mediapersons that "good relations between India and Bangladesh are continuing and would go on".

"I hope the home minister is satisfied, India is satisfied. We want to continue the good relations," Karim said.
