One person has been arrested on the charge of sending an e-mail threatening to blast the Vidhan Soudha, the police said today.

The arrested, identified as Prasanna, a resident of Ganganagar in Bangalore, was taken into custody yesterday and the computer used for sending the e-mail to the police commissioner on July 22, seized.

During interrogation, he told police that he was working for World Visions, an NGO, for the past five years, the police said.

He alleged that he had provided financial assistance from the NGO to another person, Jayasheelan, who was also working for an NGO, to undertake some rural development works, which Jayasheelan allegedly misused.

When he questioned Jayasheelan he started a 'mispropaganda' against Prasanna. In order to teach him a lesson, he decided to send an e-mail in Jayasheelan's name to the police commissioner, threatening to blast the Vidhana Soudha, Prasanna told the police, the sources added.
