Babli's tales of duping go as far as Junagadh

There seems no end to skeletons tumbling out of Babli's alias Meghna Dave, the woman who was arrested by Ghatlodia police recently for having duped many people. Meghna is alleged to be the part of a gang which has duped at least three people in Ahmedabad.

On Friday, police received a fresh complaint from Junagadh district. One Kamlesh Kantilal came along with crime branch officials from Junagadh, and had reportedly identified Dave of having duped him of Rs1.25 lakh on January 10 this year. Police claim this is not the end and there are many more complaints registered against the woman.

According to cops there are nearly a dozen cases in which the gang duped people and made lakhs of rupees. Police are also claiming that the member strength of the gang is about a dozen people and there are more women involved in it besides Dave.
It's to be noted that Meghna Dave was arrested by Ghatlodia police on charges of duping three people in the city. As of now the police have identified only four of the gang's members, while the rest are still roaming incognito.

The members of the gang adopted a unique modus operandi. They went to jewellery shops with women members and posed as couples. They would make purchases in order to build trust. Police claim that the gang had thus amassed over Rs25 lakh by duping three people in the city.
