Ayodhya verdict: Madhya Pradesh home minister thanks people for peace

Madhya Pradesh home minister Umashankar Gupta today thanked the people of Madhya Pradesh for maintaining peace following the Ayodhya verdict delivered on September 30.

"I thank everybody including the media and religious heads for their cooperation in maintaining peace during this critical time," the minister said.

Gupta said the credit for this should go to the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan under whose leadership the administration in the state worked tirelessly.

He hoped that cooperation between the administration and the people would continue in the days to come.
