Three people were buried alive and an equal number injured when an avalanche struck a remote mountainous village in Pangi valley of Himachal Pradesh today.
As many as 13 houses in Hudan Bhatori village in Chamba district were damaged by the avalanche, resident commissioner (Pangi valley) Gopal Chand told PTI.
Three people were buried alive under heaps of snow, he said adding an equal number were injured when the avalanche slammed into their houses.
The snowslide flattened six houses and partially damaged seven, Chand said.
