Assam druglord arrested in WB

Notorious drug peddlar Hazi Samsul Haque, known as Pakihi Miyan, has been arrested in Durgapur in West Bengal.
    
The drug lord, who was arrested in April last but managed to escape from judicial custody few months back while he was under treatment at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital, was netted by a joint team of West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) and Assam police last evening.
    
Assam police spokesperson Jayashree Khersa said the druglord was arrested from the residence of a Nepali woman by the STF and a team of state police camping in Durgapur for the past one week.
    
Miyan is likely to be produced in a Kolkata court today after which he will be brought here for interrogation in connection with several drug-related cases and the murder of revenue intelligence officer Kumar Dutta and a scribe of a vernacular daily.
