Arunachal students protesting outside Chinese embassy detained

New Delhi: Scores of activists belonging to Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union were today detained when they attempted to stage a protest outside the Chinese embassy here against China's claim over the state and the reported construction of a dam across the Brahmaputra river.

Around 100 activists were detained when they attempted to stage a protest, police sources said.

The activists also allegedly damaged some vehicles while being taken into custody.
