Arjun Munda to seek confidence vote on Sept 14

Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda, who assumed office today, would seek a vote of confidence at a special one-day session of the assembly on September 14.

This was decided at the first cabinet meeting presided over by Munda, chief secretary AK Singh told reporters here.

Governor MOH Farooq had stipulated on September 9, when Munda had staked claim to form government, that he should prove his majority on the floor of the assembly within a week of taking oath.
