In yet another clash inside LG Hospital, a bootlegger and his accomplices allegedly beat up one Ashwin Parmar on Friday night, injuring three others, including two women in the process.

Parmar is a resident of Amraiwadi where Raghu Sava, the bootlegger, also runs his gambling den. One person was killed in a similar incident in April 2011.

Earlier a clash had allegedly erupted between Parmar and Sava. After the clash Parmar was admitted to the LG hospital. It was then that Sava, his son Himanshu and their men barged into LG Hospital and allegedly beat up Parmar and other people, including two women.

One Vijay Solanki, who was also hurt in the incident, alleged that the police acted as spectators to the incident at the hospital.
Talking to DNA, Solanki said, "No one from the police department tried to save us."

Sava is one of the bootleggers of Amraiwadi area who is known to threaten those who dare file a complaint against him. Solanki has lodged a complaint against the goons in Amraiwadi police station following the clash in LG.

Interestingly, a cross complaint was filed by Sava against Solanki in the same police station, accusing Solanki and his men of attacking him.

However, DM Chauhan, police inspector at Maninagar police station said that no such brawl took place inside the hospital. LG Hospital falls under the jurisdiction of Maninagar police station.

According to Chauhan, no fight took place under his jurisdiction, though the injured in the group clash were admitted to LG Hospital.

"We went to the hospital as a precautionary measure as both the groups had come there to get treated,” Chauhan added.
