Andhra Pradesh to implement all its poll promises, says Kiran Kumar Reddy

The Andhra Pradesh government is committed to fulfill the promises made in its election manifesto, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said here today.

Kiran Reddy who launched developmental programmes in Ranga Reddy district assured that his government will urge the Centre to help completion of two major irrigation projects - Polavaram in West Godavari district and Pranahita in Telangana region.

He said state wanted these two projects to be taken as national projects, as on completion they would bring prosperity to backward Telangana as well as in coastal Andhra regions.

Addressing a public meeting on the occasion of launching Rs10 crore Indiramma Housing Scheme here, Reddy said his  government would extend all support to uplift of the downtrodden.

He said in an obvious reference to the recent agitations in Telangana and Andhra, the government could not collect revenues upto Rs6000 crores, resulting in hampering of developmental works.
