Andhra BJP says media should adopt code of conduct

Terming the attacks on Reliance outlets after Telugu TV news channels aired news stories about the death of former chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy as "unfortunate", BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Bandaru Dattatreya today suggested the media to adopt a code of conduct on their own.
       
Speaking to reporters here, Dattatreya said "though there was a law in this regard, media should have a code of conduct in telecasting any news which intends to create problems after its broadcasting."
       
When asked for the reaction of the his party on the booking of cases against two senior journalists of TV5 and their arrest, the BJP leader said " we don't want to politicise the issue."
