The expelled Samajwadi Party leader said he would teach Mulayam a lesson by getting him defeated by a woman in an election.
Firing a fresh salvo at Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his 'sexist' remark, expelled party leader Amar Singh has said he would teach him a lesson by getting him defeated by a woman in the election.
"We will teach Mulayam Singh Yadav a lesson for showing disrespect to women and that day is not very far when he will be defeated by a woman in the election," Singh said.
He was addressing a rally in Pilakhuwa town here yesterday.
Singh, who was expelled from Samajwadi Party last month on grounds of indulging in anti-party activities and denting its socialist image, said the SP chief did not know how to pay respect to women. He said Yadav will have to face a tough
contest in next elections by women.
The former SP leader had on Wednesday demanded action by the National Commission for Women against Yadav for his remarks which he described as "Talibani".
"Yadav has said the youth would whistle at women MPs after the Women's Reservation Bill comes into force. It is a sexist, Talibani and a cheap remark, which hurts womanhood. I hope that the NCW will take cognizance of the statement and take appropriate action (against him)," Singh had said.
The Rajya Sabha member also accused his erstwhile party president of "deceiving" him to favour his family members.
He said Yadav always gave more preference to his relatives causing heartburn among other leaders.
"I was ailing seriously when Yadav raised the issue of my resignation. He was not serious about my ailment, but was more
worried about family politics," he said.
Singh blamed Yadav for his vacillating stand on women in politics and recalled that in Ferozabad Lok Sabha by-election he had said he was against fielding his daughter-in-law Dimple, but ultimately gave her a ticket.
The expelled leader said he was yet to decide whether to form his own party or join any other political organisation, but apparently cosying up to Congress, he praised Sonia Gandhi and Rahul.
The country was quite safe in their hands as the mother-son duo gave a new direction to national growth and development, he said.
