Training his guns at the Samajwadi Party chief, expelled party leader Amar Singh today alleged Mulayam Singh Yadav had compromised with the principles laid down by socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia.
 
"Lohia had never encouraged nepotism but his followers are doing so and appointing family members to party posts," he told reporters here.
 
The expelled SP leader said he would undertake a 450km month-long "Swabhiman Yatra" from Allahabad to Gorakhpur to press for a separate Purvanchal state.
 
The yatra would commence on December one, he said.
 
"Though I have been advised by doctors against taking long walks, I will try to take permission or else cover the distance on wheel chair," Amar Singh said.
 
On Ayodhya title suits, he expressed satisfaction over both Hindus and Muslims exercising restraint in the aftermath of the judgement.
 
He said his emotions and beliefs were attached with Ayodhya and Lord Ram but flayed those who, he alleged, "are selling Lord Rama for their ulterior motives".
