AIDS patient commits suicide in Ahmedabad

An AIDS patient allegedly commited suicide by hanging himself to death in the Hatkeshwar area of the city, police said.

The incident took place yesterday evening when one Ghanshyamsinh Zala (35) hanged himself using a rope while he was alone in his house in Shivramnagar in Hatkeshwar area of Ahmedabad city.
    
According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that Zala was an AIDS patient and this made him take the extreme step. A case of accidental death has been registered and further investigation in the matter was on, the police said.
