The opposition AIADMK today demanded that the government launch a vaccination drive against H1NI virus free of cost through Primary Health Centres and community health institutions.
A Anbalagan, AIADMK local unit secretary, in a press release, said the government should act fast as the threat of swine flu was looming large with some patients with symptoms of influenza undergoing treatment in JIPMER.
There should be no let up in preventive measures in the Union Territory, he said.
