Shrey Shah, a 14-year-old student of Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Calorx Foundation in Ahmedabad, has chosen to lend his helping hand to municipal schools in Ahmedabad by raising funds for the students. The initiative is part of the final project for the final year students of International Baccalaureate's MYP, the equivalent of class 10.

To help the municipal school students, Shrey plans to organise a drawing competition in Ahmedabad on October 9. According to Shrey, this move will encourage children's interest in art.

”As a part of our final project, we have to do a project which has social significance. All I could think of was to do something for municipal schools. So, I will organise a drawing competition for around 300 municipal school kids. After shortlisting the best of drawings, I will make 1,500 calendars out of them, and sell them to corporate houses in the city. The money generated from this initiative will be given to municipal schools to develop their facilities,” said Shrey.
