Although the education board refrained from declaring the list of toppers for the first time in history, city schools are not holding back from revealing their results or their school's list of toppers (A1 grade students).

Those students who scored between 91 and 100 marks in all subjects fall in the bracket of A1 grade.

DNA tried to find out which school has produced the maximum A1 grade students this year, and surprisingly, discovered that Sheth CN Vidyalaya, the city's three-decade-old school, still leads the list with the maximum number of toppers in the board exams.

The school has produced a whopping 12 students who secured the A1 grade, way ahead of it nearest competitor Udgam School, which has produced six toppers.

Speaking to DNA, principal of CN Vidyalaya, Hitendra Trivedi said, "The entire staff is very happy with it. Every year our students excel in board examinations, bringing a good name to the school. I'm not aware if we have produced the highest number of A1 grade students, but 12 is definitely a good number to boast of.

These students will be felicitated with certificates and mementos by the school."

Meanwhile, Ranjeeta Gill, principal of HB Kapadia School, said, "In all, HB Kapadia group has produced nine A1 grade students. Out of which, the branch at Shahibaug has produced five A1 grade students while HB Kapadia, Memnagar has produced four toppers-two each from English and Gujarati medium."

However, Gill shared that along with considering the number of students with A1 grades, the strength of the class should also be taken into consideration.

"We had only one class without any sections. So, there will, obviously be less scorers of A1 grade. However, we have managed to bring 100% result of our school."

On the other hand, Trivedi shared that 186 students appeared for Class 12 science exams from CN Vidyalaya.

"The result of the school was 98% and most students of this batch fall into A2 category (81-90 marks)," he said, adding that apart from 12 students of A1 grade, the school has also produced 64 students with A2 grades.

Other prominent schools in the city, like Nirman High School and Diwan Ballubhai School, produced only one student with A1 grade.
