Ahmedabad police nab five fake central govt employees

Vatva GIDC police on Thursday nabbed five people who were reportedly posing as government of India representatives from New Delhi. Police caught them while they were demanding money from a trader. Police said that they there were various complaints against the gang.

According to police, one Atul Shah, 50, a resident of Satellite, informed that about four people claiming to be central government representatives were demanding money in order to settle issues that they know about his company.

Getting the information, police immediately rushed to the spot and caught the four frauds - Subhash Singh Rajput, Rajesh Shukla, Samu Shukla, Jawahar Sharma and Ashok Parmar.

These people, according to police, not only said that they are representing central government's Chemical and Fertilisers department of Pharmaceutical located in Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi, but also carried visiting cards of the department.
"Investigation is on," said SS Patel, police inspector of Vatva GIDC.

"The Naroda police have also contacted us as there are cases against this gang," he further added. In fact, in Vatva GIDC itself, there have a number of complaints stating that a gang was active in extorting money by claiming themselves as representatives of government of India.
