Pathak is one of the high profile accused in the sensational scam. Now, Pathak has filed for regular bail application before the court and its hearing is scheduled to be held on Friday.

According to Mayur Chavda, assistant commissioner of police, Pathak was arrested on February 14 and was released. The DCB seized Pathak's passport and has asked him to mark his presence with the police everyday till he gets regular bail.

The city civil and sessions court had last week on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Pathak on the condition that he co-operate with the investigating agency and finish the formalities within next 10 days. The DCB officials had filed a chargesheet against Pathak and seven other accused. Pathak had been listed as a wanted accused.

Pathak had then moved the city civil and sessions court seeking anticipatory bail in the case. Pathak had in his application stated that he had taken extra care about the certificate and it is not his duty to verify the genuineness of the same.

Further as per GSHSEB guidelines, it is the duty of the examination center, which allows the writers to enter the examination hall, to do the needful and verify the writers.
