Ahmedabad doctor accuses five of fraudulently selling his land

One Dr Roop kumar Agarwal, a resident of Shahibaug has filed a case against five brothers on Tuesday in connection with a land case.

Dr Agarwal and four others had bought plots from the five brothers at Hansol in the year 1985.  The five brothers Bhikha Patel, Jagdish Patel, Popat patel, Jitendra patel and Jayanti patel sold the plots to the doctor and four others identified as -Leelavatiben, Anand Dewani, Sangita Ghilod, Krishnakant Kadiya.

Of the five plots sold, only two were registered at 7/12 records, while three had no mention in the records. The 7/12 records record the name of all the land owners who at any time might have held the land.

One of the three plots belonged to the doctor, the victim. Agarwal alleged that the five brothers sold his plot to someone else for Rs71 lakhs.

He also stated that the plot, which was valued at more than Rs3 crore to Rs4 crore was sold at such a low rates because the brothers wanted to cheat him and escape with the money.
The complaint was filed with the Sardarnagar police station. The police have arrested Bhikha, Jagdish and Popat Patel, while Jayanti and Jitendra are missing and are wanted by the police.

The land was sold to the doctor and four others by the five brothers in 1985.
