Ahmedabad cops promise smooth flow of traffic

If you are afraid of the traffic nightmare that awaits you this Navratri, here is some good news. The traffic department of the city police have deployed more forces to ensure a smooth flow of traffic this Navratri.

City police commissioner, Ahmedabad city, Amitabh Pathak told reporters that the strength of the traffic police monitoring the same will be increased during the evening time till the end of Navratri. "The cops' timing will be adjusted accordingly and more cops will be deployed in the evening shifts than in the morning," Pathak said.

Traffic jam and long queue of vehicles is a routine affair on the city roads during Navratri.
However, the city police are all set to change this by deploying additional forces. A police source said that a special drive to tackle bikers who break speed limit will also be held.
