After another suspension from the House for a day, the Opposition Congress party organised a mock assembly in the Gujarat assembly complex on Friday. Congress MLAs put on the masks of chief minister Narendra Modi, Speaker Ganpat Vasava, and ministers like Anandiben Patel, Nitin Patel, Saurabh Patel and Vajubhai Vala. They also wore masks of BJP MLAs Shankar Chaudhary and Jetha Bharwad, who were accused of watching porn clips in the assembly.

As soon as the Congress MLAs and party workers convened the mock assembly, the lobby was jam-packed with viewers. The MLAs spoke everything they could speak against the CM, speaker, ministers and the BJP MLAs, which they couldn’t do inside the House.

However, minister of state Pradipsinh Jadeja informed the speaker in the House about the mock assembly. Speaker instructed the marshals to stop the mock assembly.

The marshals could not use force against the opposition MLAs and party workers, so they requested  Congress whip Iqbal Patel to stop the proceedings of the mock assembly.

Patel, apparently to buy some extra time for the show, said that he would need to talk to the leader of the opposition Shaktisinh Gohil and went to Gohil’s office.

Patel returned from Gohil’s office and signed to wrap up the show. The episode of Shaktisinh Gohil’s suspension was also performed in the mock assembly, in which Gohil participated.
