As the Aero India 2011 concluded on Sunday, the Flying Bulls Aerobatic Team from Czech Republic were preparing to return home with fond memories.

The Flying Bulls Aerobatic Team put on nine stunning performances over the last five days enthralling crowds with their ‘mirror flying’ and other manoevures. “We have been completely blown away by the response of the crowds. The team has been cheered on from day one and this has motivated us to perform at the highest levels. The crowd and the fans had been great and we can’t wait to return and perform for everyone again,” Martin Nepovim, team manager, Flying Bulls, said.

Earlier in the day, the Flying Bulls had a chance to catch up with IAF’s Surya Kiran team members as well. Flying Bulls team leader Radka Machova, who had been flying for 29 years, said: “It is always great to meet a young team of flying professionals who share the same passion. We had a chance to watch them and were very impressed with their performance. There is a lot of potential in India for aerobatics, so hopefully more Indians will take to Aerobatic flying.”

“Aero India 2011 was definitely one of the best organised festivals we’ve been to. What made the event better were the incredible crowds that have only grown as the days progressed. I am impressed with the scale and magnitude of things in India and Aero India in particular,” added the 62-year-old veteran. The four-member team comprising Machova, Miro Slav Krejci, Jiri Veprek and Jiri Sallar, have logged more than 35,000 flying hours.

Celebrities at the Red Bull station included Bollywood star Gul Panag, actor Dino Morea, singer Lucky Ali, cricketers Sunil Joshi and Lalchand Rajput, and Indian tennis sensation Somdev Devvarman.

Gul Panag, special guest of Red Bull India, said, “I am a huge aviation enthusiast and am delighted to be here at Aero India 2011. The whole show has been amazing especially the Flying Bulls. It takes skill and experience to do what they did and I am in total awe of their abilities.”
