"Adarsh Housing Society Scam is one of the worst in the armed forces," Singh told reporters on the sidelines of inauguration of the newly constructed 'Air Warriors' Living-in Accommodation' which is named after the Marshal as the 'Arjan Singh Block' at IAF station in Jammu.
"I am glad that they are taking action," 91-year-old Singh, decorated with Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) in 1944, said.
On the issue of induction of new age aircraft in IAF, Singh said, "Without modern technology, armed forces are handicapped.
"If you do not have modern aircraft, the force not only gets handicapped but it also demoralises," marshal said adding that that though MIG-21 has proved great at initial stages, "it is good that it is being replaced as every aircraft gets old".
He arrived at the base in a special aircraft of IAF and was received by air commodore Nitin Sathe, air officer commanding, IAF Jammu.
He was given a formal guard of honour by the air warriors on his arrival.
To a question about the recent air space violation by the Pakistani aircraft in RS Pura sector, Singh said "if it was intentional, it is wrong".
He expressed regret that he was not allowed to fly a fighter plane during the 1965 war with Pakistan as he had been promoted to the rank of air chief.
A museum of a helicopter unit christened as 'the condors' was also inaugurated by him.
