A criminal who had escaped arrested again in Delhi

An alleged criminal, who escaped from jail in June this year, was arrested here, police said today. Najbul Hassan, a resident of New Jaffarabad, was allegedly involved in at least five cases of murder and attempt to murder.

   
His arrest was made yesterday on the basis of a tip off and a country-made pistol was recovered from him. "Hassan disclosed that in order to earn quick money he started snatching chains on motorcycle," a police official said.

    
He was earlier arrested in March but after two months escaped from jail. Hassan had also managed to escape when the UP Police intercepted him in Sahibabad when he was on his way to Meerut with two accomplices to commit crime.

   
He was also accused of stabbing to death one Raja due to personal enmity in February last year. Last December 17, Hassan allegedly stabbed one Moshin on a trivial issue.

A day later, he allegedly stabbed Imran in Seelampur suspecting him to be a police informer.
