With the blessings of Sai Dham Seva Samiti donors -- after the success of their first samuh lagan (mass marriage) in 2010 wherein 11 couples tied the knot -- this year too the organisation has organised another, similar ceremony where 83 couples have registered to tie the knot on December 4.

The Sarvgnyati Samuh Lagan by the Sai Dham Seva Samiti is part of a nine-day function which is being organised from November 27 to December 5 at the Ahmedabad Education Society grounds, behind Doordarshan Kendra.

"For eight days, there will be Shrimad Bhagwad Katha which will be recited by Param Pujya Kankeshwari Devi and in between, on December 4, the mass marriage ceremony will be held which is being organised for those who cannot afford the expense of a private marriage. In addition, donation of nearly Rs1 lakh will be made to each of the couples getting married", said Kankrej MLA Babulal Desai.

Desai added, "I alone will be donating nearly Rs30,000 worth of goods to girls getting married." There are other donors too who are gifting a few more articles to the couples. Decorations for all nine days and especially the wedding day are being organised by Kishansinh Solanki.
