8-year-old raped in Uttar Pradesh

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Mubarakpur area, police said today.

A woman lodged a complaint this morning that her daughter, a student of class one, was raped by Deepak alias Rahul Singh, 20, on February 15, when she was retuning from school, they said.

Police said that the accused Deepak has been arrested and medical examination of the girl is being conducted.
