An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Karrua in Jammu & Kashmir's Reasi district, police said today.

The girl, a student of class four, was attending a marriage function along with her parents when the youth lured her last night.

Later, he allegedly criminally assaulted her, the police said adding the youth, aged 22, identified as Ajay Kumar, had been arrested.
