53 cars damagedin fire at Mysore's Hebbal industrial area

A major fire broke out in the parking lot of a corporate car showroom in the Hebbal industrial area in Mysore this evening, gutting over 53 cars, police said.

Police said 36 cars were gutted and 15 partially damaged in the fire at the parking lot belonging to R S Showroom, dealers of Tata and Fiat.

The cause of the fire was being investigated, the police said.

Three fire tenders doused the fire after an hour-long operation.
