5 killed, 3 injured as car collides with bus in near Thiruvanathapuram

Five persons were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a private bus about 35km from Thiruvanathapuram today.

Three persons, including two bus passengers, who were injured, have been admitted to hospital, police said.

The mishap occurred when the car was trying to overtake a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus. The private bus was on its way from Varkala to Kallambalam, police said.
