33% women in BJP’s Gujarat executive team

The Bharatiya Janata Party has declared its 176 member state executive council on Saturday.

The party has inducted 33% women members in its team apart from MPs, MLAs, industrialist and educationist.

The party added Bharat Patel, son of veteran BJP leader and former chief minister Keshubhai Patel in the executive council, while name of another veteran leader Kashiram has been dropped from the list. Dr Maya Kodnani, former minister and accused in the Naroda Patiya and Naroda Gam communal riot case, is still part of the council. Keshubhai, former state president Purushottam Rupala, finance minister Vaju Vala and former state president Rajendrasinh Rana are among the list of 63 specially invited members.

Ministers like Anandi Patel, Amit Shah, Jayanarayan Vyas, and Dilip Sanghani are also in the list of specially invited members.
Talking to media persons, IK Jadeja, vice-president of BJP, said, "We have declared the list of state executive which has 31 women, doctors, technocrats and experts from many other fields.
