About 30 people, including some children, fell ill after consuming food on the occasion of Muharram in Noor Basti at Saharanpur, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when Muslim devotees were served Haleem, a special dish prepared during Muharram, following which they started vomiting and complained of stomach disorder, they said.
The victims were rushed to a hospital soon, they said, adding the devotees were later discharged, police said.
