Three persons were arrested in connection with the recent shootout on a train in which two constables were killed to facilitate the escape of an undertrial, a senior police official said today.
"We have arrested Arun and Sikandar, who were wanted in several criminal cases in Jaunpur along with an accomplice Subhash Yadav. They were involved in the attack on two constables onboard a train on March 17," deputy inspector general of police(Allahabad) Braj Bhushan told reporters in Allahabad.

Yadav helped them in freeing Neeraj Singh, a dreaded criminal who was being brought to Naini Central Jail here after being produced before a court in Jaunpur," he said.
